Stock Combo Trailers: One Trailer, Two Jobs
A lot of working ranches don't just haul cattle — they haul a saddle horse to check pasture, pull calves out of a corner, or work cattle from horseback at a sale barn. A stock combo trailer is built for exactly that: a divided interior with a horse compartment on one end (usually with a swing-out saddle/tack area) and open cattle or general livestock space on the other, all in a single trailer instead of owning two. Star Manufacturing builds stock combo trailers on the same 5/16" seam-welded frame and full hot dip galvanized finish as every trailer in our lineup, in lengths from 14' to 40'.
It's a genuinely different animal from a standard cattle trailer — the interior gets a permanent divider wall separating the horse stall(s) from the stock area, plus horse-specific hardware (butt bars, tie rings, sometimes a small tack compartment) that a pure cattle box doesn't need.
